Part of the Owner’s Team managed projects at the Kamoa-Kakula (Phase 1 to 3) mining complex for Ivanhoe Mines. Initially joined as a Project Planner, overseeing on-site planning activities across various work areas and later transitioned to Project Engineer supporting the A6000 Project Manager, then the SIB Project Manager. Also, supported the Inga Project Team with Planning and Schedule Reviews. Involvement in Kamoa Projects included the management of the project approved scope, timelines, milestones, critical path, and constraints, by employing robust methodologies, systems, and controls to ensure project success. Tasks also include managing scope changes and maintaining effective communication with all stakeholders, ensuring the smooth flow of information. Directing, managing, and coordinating infrastructure activities onsite, ensuring execution aligns with the agreed timeline and budget according to contract conditions. Providing necessary project drawings and documentation to the construction team. Other tasks include identifying potential issues such as work interferences, schedule difficulties, and contract compliance, whilst closely monitoring project schedules, budgets, and milestones, regularly reviewing objectives.
